Madoka once again leads a carefree and completely normal life, far away from the horrors and dangers of being a magical girl. In the background, Homura Akemi dominates the newly formed reality of the city of Mitakihara as an almost omnipotent existence. Although she has assigned herself the role of the devil, she continues to protect her former companions in secret. She takes most of the heavy burden off the girls as they fight against the remaining dark beings.
However, this painstakingly maintained balance is abruptly shaken when one day three new Magical Girls appear at the school. Homura is shocked to discover that these unknowns have by no means emerged from their own creative power. The sudden appearance of the foreign warriors fundamentally questions their supposed omnipotence. Homura is forced to face the unforeseen consequences of her own handling.
The uncontrollable developments not only threaten the painstakingly built, peaceful existence of Madoka but also affect the fate of the entire world once again. In the midst of this burgeoning confusion, a profound emotional and psychological conflict unfolds over the girls’ mutual obligations. Homura struggles desperately to maintain control and protect Madoka as the foundation of her created reality begins to crumble inexorably.
